Who will lose in this election?

It is easy to accurately predict who all will lose in this election. A fractured mandate is bad for the country.  Here is my list of losers because of this election 09.

1. Environment

With the makeshift horse traded government trying to hold on to power on a day to day basis – the environment will never show up any where on the radar. Instead we will see environmentally unfriendly projects getting sanctioned at a furious pace – because even before the PIL can be submitted – the minister in charge might be replaced and a new government would have come. Make hay while the sun shines will be order of the day. Sorry Earth.
2. Economy

I feel sorry for the poor sods (including yours truly ) who have sunk their money in Stock Market . I am predicting market to fall to 8000 in the next few months. The parliment will be run by everything other than pragmatism. With the netas whims and fancies changing on a day to day basis – and along with it the fluctuating majority – and along with it the market will keep plunging.
3. Aam Aadmi

The new Government’s life span is in weeks to months. They will not think even of a 1 year long project. So no new infrastructure projects will start, no improvements to healthcare or education will happen- everything that a Government is supposed to do – goes for a toss.
Of course the politicians are not responsible for this mess – they would say it is the Aam Aadmi is to be blamed for having voted such a fractured mandate.
The world will turn dark tomorrow ( May 16th when counting will begin ). Brace up folks – and get ready for a rough ride in the coming few months. Probably my next posts will make fun of our pathetic situation and wont be this gloomy – so don’t blacklist my blog yet 🙂

Top 5 reasons why I love Election 2009

Here is the top 5 list !!

5. I get to refresh my “political GK”. For instance I had forgotten there was a person called Naveen Patnaik – had this election not brought the seat sharing issue – I would have totally forgotten him and I might have lost the Rs. 1 Crore worth question someday.
4. Pink Chaddis did have an effect after all. Now Mr.Muthalik is off to making sure this election is corruption fee. He has taken his eyes off the women of Bangalore – you can all drink and dance – till the election is over.
3. Newspaper has become fun to read. Can now read the goofups ( one politician in Karanataka in a rally thundered do not vote for party A – and just a week back he had moved to party A !! – its true )
2. You will get to know how good your country is and how good you are doing financially – and at the same time turn another page and you will get to know how bad your country has become, and how pathetic you are doing financially.
1. No power cuts in Bangalore. It seems the Bangalore Govt is working extra hours to ensure there will not be any power cuts till election ends. So enjoy power while it lasts folks !!

No you take the bill, no you pay the bill!!

Senator Obama and Senator Mc Cain meet each other on the eve of the November Elections. Both are in a generous mood.

BO : Hey John. I thought a lot about the past few months and I want to apologize for all the things I told about you.
JC :  Same here. I too want to apologize. I should have treated  you like one of my grand sons.
OB : Anyway, coming to the heart of the matter, I want to withdraw from the Presidential race.
JC : Hain?  You crazy or what. You are leading the charts, go ahead it is your cake. Eat it.
OB : Well I think only you can handle the economy and war and all that. I am still a bachoo you see compared to you. So please become the President.
JC : My dear grand son listen to me. I do not want any part of it. I just joined the Presidential race because I was bored. The Bushs had made sure no republican will ever win the election in his lifetime.  I joined the race because lot of people are dependent on this circus – media, my friend Bill O’Reilly..and also my autobiography will sell well if I am an also ran for President. I dont want any part of this economy mess, Iraq mess. I will be happy signing autographs in my book and reading WSJ, WPost about the mess you are in. Its good to be at the other side of the aisle beta.. you will learn when you reach my age.
OB : Kelatu …..
JC : I knew that reference from Indian movie.  Poda podipayya. Good luck and good night.
